Moira Furnace Folk Festival

Founded by Dave Johns

The 9th Ever Moira Furnace Folk Festival was a great success,
thanks to the hard work and support of...

The Moira Furnace Museum Trust who provide the site,
the hard working Festival committee,
the non–committee members, who have taken on key responsibilities,
the working party, who set up and dismantled the festival site,
the stewards, the sponsors,
the local pubs The Railway and The Woodman, Moira Miners Welfare
and Moira Replan for hosting events,
the local folk clubs, who raise funds throughout the year,
the stall holders, the local council for the use of the showers
and the Moira Canal Festival for the loan of essential equipment.

Thanks are also due to the artists and MCs, who made a significant contribution
to the success of the event.

The use of the main Festival marquee would not have been possible without a significant amount of work being done to level the ground and then roll it and seed it. Local people responded to our requests for assistance.
Thanks to all of you who attended the event and completed the feedback forms. We have valued the comments made and intend to post responses on the website.

We always need more stewards... a weekend ticket / camping pass is the reward for your labours. If you’d like to be a 2018 Festival steward, please see Stewards page for more details.
