COVID Update

attention   Our aim is to run a safe and enjoyable Festival. Whilst restrictions have been lifted from 19th July, Government guidance remains in place and we will follow that guidance.

If you suspect you may have Covid, or have been instructed by NHS Test and Trace to self–isolate, then please do NOT turn up – it is not fair to everyone else.

As in previous years, those in the Dave Johns and Folk Club marquees will be seated, without social distancing. However, at least 50% of the side walls will be open to ensure adequate ventilation and to classify the marquees as “outdoors”.

Again, at least 50% of the side walls will be open in the Bar, Mushroom Hall and New Inn marquees. Therefore, warmer clothing than usual may be needed for the evenings but there will still be roof cover.

The Song Loft will have the doors at both ends open and a capacity limit. Workshops, in other rooms within the Furnace, will have as much ventilation as possible and will have limited numbers. Face masks may be required to be worn.

Leicestershire County Council is stationing a mobile Covid testing unit on site during the Festival weekend and will offer free testing and takeaway lateral flow tests.

We ask that everyone attending the Festival to respect others and their views. Please do not crowd others in queues or at the bar. When the marquees are not busy you will be able to distance, if you wish. However, for popular events this will not be possible and you will need to sit directly beside strangers.

If Government guidance changes again before the Festival, we will make whatever arrangements are necessary to ensure we are following the guidance.
